About this Site

Christian AblingerOctober 2015 was my starting date for a 12 month volunteer assignment in Kavieng, Papua New Guinea. I am working with the National Fisheries College as a Communications and Technical Adviser. The College is planning to produce educational multimedia material in an effort to raise awareness of this facility and to raise the quality of their own courses.

I am helping to set up a video production suite and train staff on how to use cameras and how to produce high quality video content. It is very exciting for me to be able to live and work in one of the least visited countries on earth.

This assignment has been offered to me by VSA (Volunteer Service Abroad). VSA is New Zealand's largest and most experienced volunteer agency working in international development.
